The more we utter them, the more we conform -- in reflection and feeling -- to Dick else who uses them.The Dimwit's Dictionary is a compilation of thousands of dimwitticisms (cliches, colloquialisms, idioms, and the like) that individuals address and inscribe excessively. Many of the entries in this book are followed by synonyms that may be worn in position of the worn-out chat or idiom, and by sentence examples entranced from a miscellany of publications; others are followed by commentary; and still others by both. But flat the mere inclusion of an entrance -- that is, lone unaccompanied by synonyms or commentary -- damns it as a dimwitticism. The Dimwit's Dictionary will facilitate us in our quest seeking more purposeful diction and penmanship. The goal is to promote understanding and rouse individuals to performance. The goal is to verbalize ourselves as never before -- in penmanship that demands to be review aloud, in diction that calls to be captured in stamp. The Dimwit's Dictionary will annoy some individuals and amuse others. People who note as while I am referring to them in some of the commentary in this book may be annoyed by what I inscribe; those who note as while I am referring to others may be amused by it. This is an annoying, amusing book.
