Five Cellular Automata Description:

Five Cellular Automata is Shareware program for Windows developed by Hermetic Systems

A cellular automaton consists of:

(a) A configuration of cells, such as the squares on a chess board.
(b) A situate of values or "states" such that each cell is associated with a peculiar situation.
(c) A situate of rules describing how one situation of the system (a peculiar configuration of cells in exact states) is to be transformed or converted to another situation of the system.

This is software for exploring five cellular automata, as follows:

1. An extended version of Conway's Life, called q-state Life.

2. A simulation of the Belousov-Zhabotinsky chemical reaction in which, onset from a chance situation of the system, spirals and curlicues "spontaneously" emerge.

3. A system called Togetherness in which cells with chance states move so as to maximize the integer of neighbors of each cell in the unchanging situation as that cell (or, reflection of in another way, in which the cells rearrange themselves so as to conformation maximal clusters of cells all having the unchanging situation).

4. Viral Replication, a simulation of a population of dividing cells thesis to viral infection.
