Those of us who do circuit visualize are constantly having to visualize common voltage dividers. Simple ones are, rich... plain... mostly. Add a pot or a rheostat, and/or more than 2 resistors, and you can go bananas trying to secure the voltages you demand. Why is this so stiff sometimes? Because it's rare that the values that come up on your calculator peer the values that you can obtain. So, you choose the nearest model value and recalculate using that value. If you're not satisfied with the inaccuracy you endeavour again... and again. Not only that but who keeps the formula(s) representing a 3-element voltage divider accessible? This program does it all representing you, in uniting providing you with worst case results based on resistor tolerances you have chosen.
